It all begins with an idea. Or the very critical time crunch that you realise that you are under to get something completed on time.

This work was a gift for a couple getting married, and after repeatedly being told that gifts weren’t necessary, I decided that that wasn’t ok and I needed to create something personal to gift to the newly weds.

This piece tells their story, the coming together of both of their families, and represents their core unit as their totem; a wood duck.

This family unit is surrounded by the people that love and care for them, and their new circle of life that uniting together brings. This work is accompanied by my different signature patterns representing each chapter in life they could potentially have.
